Lowe’s offers make-&-take workshops for kids, though they’re better known as their free Build & Grow workshops. The workshops typically start at 10:00 a.m., and since there are a limited number of kits available, you’ll need to RSVP online if you want to guarantee your spot.

On April 28, 2012, kids can build a terrarium.

Can’t make it? Head out for one of the upcoming workshops:

  • May 12: Picture Frame Planter
  • May 26: Ice Cream Truck

If these projects aren’t a good fit for your brood, check back in a few weeks. Lowe’s typically offers a couple of free Build & Grow workshops each month.

  1. any idea how big their crafts are? I’m trying to figure out how big the terrariums are… thanks in advance!

  2. not too big. Think of a kit about the size of a sheet of paper. They’re a good kid-size. ~Jenn
