A quick site update:
We’re in the process of switching service providers for Cities on the Cheap’s daily emails & RSS feed.
This will be the last post picked up by the old service provider. I’m sending it for two reasons:
1) I know that some email addresses did not make it over during the import. It’s a small percent (only a few hundred people), but I don’t want any of you to lose your subscriptions. If you stop receiving email updates this week, resubscribe to receive Cities on the Cheap’s emails.
2) Expect a little wonkiness. The daily emails are feed-based, which essentially means that whatever the feedreader feels is a new post will be included in the email. That can go well, or there can be a few glitches until the service & I get in synch. I’m hoping for the former. You will receive multiple emails today (this one so that I reach everyone on the old email list + one from the new service provider with today’s deals). Hopefully that’ll be it, but I may make the system send another if, say, half the posts are missing. Things should be settled by Tuesday.
As always, thanks for reading Cities on the Cheap.
