With so many awesome things going on each week, it’s impossible to make it to everything. To narrow it down a bit, try one of these five ways to spend the weekend on the cheap:
- On Saturday, October 6, 2012, kids can build a Fire Truck during the free kids’ workshop at Home Depot. The workshop takes place from 9:00 a.m.-noon, and kids leave with their project, a free kid’s orange apron, commemorative pin, & certificate of achievement.

- 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. on October 6: Tori Necklace Demo. Adult-only event.
- 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on October 6: Mixed Media Demo. Adult-only event.
- 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. on October 6: Stretch Bracelet Demo. Adult-only event.
- 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. on October 7: Wire Wrap on Cuff Demo. Adult-only event.
- 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on October 7: Coral-Wrapped Bracelet Demo. Adult-only event.
- 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on October 7: Martha Stewart Crafts Glass. Free with purchase of glass container. Adult-only event.
- On Sunday, October 7, head to Williams-Sonoma for a free All Souped Up class. RSVP at your local store.
- On Saturday, October 6, stop by participating Pottery Barn Kids locations for Star Wars Reads Day, complete with books, activities, trivia, & more. Dress-up encouraged.
- During the month of October, you can sign up to take free ukulele lessons on Saturdays at participating Guitar Center locations.
