If you’re looking for ways to get creative on the cheap, you’ve got quite a few options this week:
- At 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, you can build a LEGO black cat during the free monthly mini model build event at participating LEGO store locations.
- On Saturday, October 6, 2012, kids can build a Fire Truck during the free kids’ workshop at Home Depot. The workshop takes place from 9:00 a.m.-noon, and kids leave with their project, a free kid’s orange apron, commemorative pin, & certificate of achievement.

- 10:00 a.m.-Noon on October 6: The Crazy Pumpkin Event. Free with purchase of pumpkin.

- 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on October 6: Mixed Media Demo. Adult-only event.
- 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. on October 6: Stretch Bracelet Demo. Adult-only event.
- 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. on October 7: Wire Wrap on Cuff Demo. Adult-only event.

- 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on October 7: Martha Stewart Crafts Glass. Free with purchase of glass container. Adult-only event.
- From 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, kids can make a Take Note! Doodle Pad during the free crafts at Lakeshore Learning Stores.
- On Sunday, October 7, head to Williams-Sonoma for a free All Souped Up class. RSVP at your local store.
- On Saturday, October 6, stop by participating Pottery Barn Kids locations for Star Wars Reads Day, complete with books, activities, trivia, & more. Dress-up encouraged.
