to check out your local botanical garden for free? Take advantage of this freebie from Better Homes and Gardens:
On May 11, 2012, you can celebrate National Public Gardens Day by visiting a participating botanical garden for free. You’ll need to fill out a brief form to get your free admission pass, and you’ll need to print one coupon per two members of your party.
Check the list of participating locations–you may be surprised by what you find. In Georgia, the Atlanta Botanical Garden isn’t on the list, but you can go to places like Callaway Gardens, the Atlanta History Center, & Oakland Cemetery, to name a few. In Virginia, Lewis Ginter isn’t on the list, but you can check out places like the Old City Cemetery Museums and Arboretum in Lynchburg & the State Arboretum of VA in Boyce.
Some venues are always free, so skip those when you’re choosing where to redeem your voucher.
