The Summer Kid’s Series at Carmike Cinemas is a good deal for families:

Every Thursday this summer, participating Carmike Cinemas will play a family-friendly flick at 10:00 a.m. Admission is $1, and you can get a Kiddie Tray (popcorn, drink, + fruit snack) for $4.

The 2011 lineup & dates vary by theatre, but most theaters kicked off the Summer Kid’s Series on June 9. Per the pic, the likely movies include Hotel for Dogs, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar (1 & 2), Shrek (1 & 2), The Last Airbender, Monsters & Aliens, and Megamind.
