I may need to take advantage of this deal, as I already have a membership elsewhere but have wanted to try BJ’s ever since I posted about its generous coupon policy.
Here’s the deal:
Through July 5, 2010, new members can receive a free 60-day trial membership to BJ’s Wholesale Club. And it looks like it’s truly free—I don’t see any mention of adding 10-15% fee at checkout.
Unlike most warehouse clubs, BJ’s allows you to use both BJ’s own coupons & manufacturers’ coupons. And making a good deal better, you don’t have to rely on manufacturers’ coupons cut from the Sunday paper—they accept coupons printed from online sites, like Coupons.com, too.
Does it get even better? Yep. Per the official policy, you can only use one coupon per item, but an item isn’t defined as one package. If you buy a multipack of toothpaste, each tube of toothpaste counts as an item.
Since the official policy prohibits you from using more than one coupon per item, it implies that you can’t stack a BJ’s coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon. But it’s a YMMV deal (your mileage may vary): Some stores let you to do just that, allowing you to use one BJ’s coupon per bundle & one manufacturer’s coupon per item in the bundle, which stretches your savings even further.

I took advantage of this 60 day free trial and it is truly free. I used it for 60 days and without being charged any other fees and even received some coupons. I also got a discount on the regular annual membership which I took advantage of.
I was wondering if there was a site online to download the 60 day trial coupon. When I go to the BJ’s webpage it only offers a 1 day free trial coupon. I would like more time than a single day to find out how well the store would work for our family.
Thanks
