I’m very tempted to stop by IKEA to see what’s on sale & grab a free bite to eat this weekend. I made a quick trip during the holidays, and the crowds were manageable, but I didn’t stay long. And I forgot something, so I have a good excuse to go back…

On January 9 & 10, 2010, IKEA’s offering free breakfast (one small breakfast + one cup of coffee) until 11:00 a.m. each day. Limit one per customer. Not valid at IKEA Houston or IKEA Direct.

As for the sale there’s no word on IKEA’s site as to what’s marked down 20%-60%; I suspect it varies by location. They’re offering one-day only sales, too.  Here’s a look at what’s available:

• Jan. 9: MALM queen bed frame. $99 (reg. $199). Limit 1 per customer.
• Jan. 10: LILLBERG loveseat. $99 (reg. $249). Limit 1 per customer.

Those of you who shop at the IKEA Paramus, NJ, store can buy the loveseat on Saturday. The rest of us must wait.
