McDonald’s to Offer Free Wi-Fi Beginning in Mid-January
Posted By CitiesCheap on December 17, 2009
If you follow me on Twitter @atlcheap, you may have learned a few details about me: 1) A couple of months ago, I had a major craving for McDonald’s fries, which was odd because it’d been about a decade since I’d had them. 2) I gave in to temptation & discovered that I do, in fact, still like McDonald’s fries. Not good (for my waistline). 3) I needed Wi-Fi, a playground, & a late lunch one day, and I was fooled by McDonald’s Wi-Fi sign—as it turned out, they charged customers for Wi-Fi access. Boo. I scratched them back off my list.
Now they may go back on it: Starting in mid-January, Wi-Fi access will be free at McDonald’s U.S. restaurants. I don’t need that particular combination often, but once Wi-Fi access is free, I’ll be heading back to grab a quick bite to eat & get some work done while the kids play.

Are you kidding me? This is just another ploy by McDonalds to get customers to stay longer. Don’t let them kill our children! It’s time to start slimming

WIFI is everywhere – don’t support this KILLER corporation.
To each their own. When I experience the perfect storm & need Wi-Fi (rain + split pick-ups for my kids’ schools + deadlines to meet), I may take McDonald’s up on it. They can have a snack & play, and I can work. Not everything on their menu is evil. And I’ll never go on a raw food diet. I’d rather shave 5 years off my life expectancy than live off of only that. ~Jenn
