I’m beyond excited about the new Sherlock Holmes movie. It looks awesome. And Robert Downey, Jr., sans drugs? Swoon.

I know that the movie will take quite a few liberties with the original works, and it’s still fun to read the classics—or to have said classics read to you while you’re running around town.

Thanks to a deal I found on AudioFile.com, you can download audiobooks of three Sherlock Holmes stories free: Silver Blaze, The Adventure of the Stock-Broker’s Clerk, and The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans. The freebie is available through Dec. 29, 2009.
