I saw this lead on @audible_com’s Twitter feed: If you’re new to Audible.com, they’re offering a Thanksgiving deal for you: First-time listeners can download a free audiobook. There’s no credit card required, and you have until November 26, 2009, to take advantage of the deal.

There are a good mix of titles to choose from. I’m thinking about downloading Scroogenomics by Joel Waldfogel, Flash Forward by Robert J. Sawyer, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, or I Am Legend by Richard Matheson—I suppose it will depend on my mood at the moment.
