REI: Buy a Burton Snowboard, Get a Free Lesson & Lift Ticket
Posted By CitiesCheap on November 15, 2009
A Burton Snowboard isn’t cheap (are any?). But this may be a good deal, especially if you’re an REI member:
If you buy a Burton Snowboard, you can get a free lift ticket & lesson, valid at participating resorts in North America; blackout dates apply. The free lift & lesson us for a first-time/beginner lesson only, so you’ll get the best deal if you’re introducing a kid to the sport (child-size snowboards start at $159.95). The free lift ticket & lesson is fully transferrable, so you can upgrade your snowboard & give the freebie to a newbie.
REI members get a better deal: The snowboards qualify for the 10% REI member rebate. Or you can wait & see if a 20% off member coupon comes out & use that to save even more.
FYI—You may well be able to find a better price. Do a quick search with the basics, like “Burton Chopper,” & see what shows up. One catch: The board will need to have the “Go Snowboarding” ticket on it to qualify for the free lift ticket & lesson deal; proof of purchase isn’t enough.
