Heads Up: Jimmy Choo Line Debuts at Select H&M Stores on Nov. 14

Posted By admin on November 13, 2009

Dear H&M: Atlanta is a major city. Yes, we’re in the south, but we do appreciate some of the finer things in life. Please bring the Jimmy Choo line here, too. Thanks.

For those of you who love fashion & live near select H&M stores, you’re in luck: On Nov. 14, 2009, H&M will launch a line of shoes, clothes & accessories designed by Jimmy Choo. Translation: You’ll be able to buy Jimmy Choo products at H&M prices (relatively speaking—it’s still far from cheap; it’s just cheap for Jimmy Choo).

Here’s how it works: Only select stores will carry the Jimmy Choo line (New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, West Hollywood, and Costa Mesa in the U.S.). Not every store will carry every part of the collection, so browse online to make sure your local store will have the items you’re interested in before you head out.

The first 160 people in line at H&M on Nov. 14, 2009, will receive a bracelet. That will designate a time for you to shop in the women’s shoes, bags & accessories section. No bracelet is needed to shop the men’s collection or the women’s garments. After two hours, everyone can shop in all sections; they’re just trying to control the volume so that you have a pleasant shopping experience.

Word of warning: You can buy the entire collection. But you’re limited to purchasing just one piece per product or garment—you cannot buy multiple sizes of the same shoes or clothes.

Quick note for those of you in the San Francisco & NYC metro areas: be sure to check out your local “on the cheap” sites:

  • Kathy does an awesome job with Bay Area on the Cheap—she posts about everything from free events to ticket discounts for the botanical garden, OVO, & the 49ers.
  • Evelyn just created The Big Apple on the Cheap. The site has only been live for about a week so there aren’t a lot of deals there yet, but the content should build up quickly. Evelyn knows the area well—not only does she write the “Sales & Bargains” column in New York Magazine, but she’s the author of numerous NYC guidebooks.
