Word of warning before you take advantage of this freebie: If you haven’t downloaded the Amazon MP3 download software yet, log in & take care of that before you get started. I use two different browsers, and the download phase popped open in the other browser, forcing me to start over.

Through Nov. 22, 2009, you can download a free song by a CMA Award nominated artist on Amazon.com. The free songs include tracks by Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, & Keith Urban, to name a few. Even if you aren’t a country music fan, I suspect you’ll find a song or two that you like. I opted for “It Won’t Be This Way For Long” by Darius Rucker (front man for Hootie & The Blowfish when he’s not recording his solo work). The song makes me all teary-eyed about my kids.
