Tricky Treatsville at Publix on Halloween
Posted By CitiesCheap on October 29, 2009
Ok, here’s another in-store trick-or-treating deal that I can get behind: On Halloween, participating Publix locations will host a Tricky Treatsville party. The little monsters (err…kids) will love it because they can trick-or-treat at the store from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Think of it as a practice run before you they head out through the neighborhood that night.
You’ll love it because candy is on sale. Best deal for a last-minute candy run for trick-or-treaters? Per the circular in my local paper, it’s the Wonka assorted candy bags. They’re a BOGO item, so you can get two bags for $8.99 (or one for half that). And they have two mixes—one’s Laffy Taffy, Sweet Tarts, Nerds, and Shockers, and the other is Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger & Baby Ruth—with portions just the right size to let the kids grab a handful instead of doling it out one piece at a time.
