I will definitely download this later this evening: AudioFile is offering a free audiobook download of Edgar Allan Poe’s stories, as read by William Roberts. The collection (which, by the way, is perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit) includes some of my favorite Poe short stories: “The Fall of the House of Usher,” “The Pit and The Pendulum,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Black Cat,” and “The Masque of the Red Death.” The offer expires on October 31, 2009.

And per a note on the website, they didn’t ruin the works by adding in unnecessary music or sound effects. Good.
