Free eBooks During the World eBook Fair
Posted By CitiesCheap on July 15, 2009
I finally downloaded an e-reader last week. Still not sold on the e-book concept (love paper, portability, & ability to read during power outage), but I needed to research the 16 free Harlequin romance novel e-books giveaway before I posted about the deal. Yep. Research. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
I have to say that reading an e-book isn’t that bad. The color choices made it easy on the eyes, and I could set it up to look like a traditional book. I’m not sold on it, but I am willing to experiment a bit more, and now is the perfect time to stock up.
Through August 4, you can download your pick of two million e-books during the World eBook Fair. You read that right—2 million eBooks, all free. No time to browse now, but I will definitely be lining my e-bookshelves with new titles.
Miss the window? You can join the World Public Library for $8.95/year. I know my actual public library is free, but if I get hooked, this would be a cheap & convenient option to have.
