Remember the good ol’ days, when you could get matinee pricing at movie theatres before 6:00 p.m.? Unfortunately, that’s rare these days. At local AMC theatres, you can still get a discount on your tickets, provided that you go to a showing that starts before noon. Tickets for A.M. Cinema range from $4-$6, depending on your market. Fair warning: expect to pay a bit more for IMAX or 3-D movies.

For an even better deal, make sure you’re a member of the AMC MovieWatcher club. We are, and it’s paid off. It works like most rewards cards—just show it when you order tickets, and you’ll rack up points good for free drinks, popcorn, & movies. They’ll usually give coupons good for $1 off certain snacks or candy, too, though we usually skip redeeming those.
