I’m
not familiar with the songs on the NPR Music at SXSW Sampler on iTunes, but they’re free, so I downloaded them anyway. I’ll listen to them when I get done with work later today. Until then, the rest of you can check them out.
To get the deal, you’ll need to have iTunes installed on your computer & download the songs by April 30, 2010.

As I type this,
I’m wearing a pair of oh-so-comfy yet oh-so-worn-out jeans. They’re beyond pitiful looking, and it’s time for them to go. Assuming that I can bear to part with them, I may need to take advantage of this deal: If I bring my old jeans to The Gap, I can save 30% on a new pair.
Even better: The deal is good at GapKids and babyGap stores, too, so if nothing else, I’ll be taking my kids’ jeans with worn knees to the store to get them some new ones. And if I had a GapCard (which I don’t), I’d save 35%, too (Old Navy or Banana Republic cards work, too).

I’d definitely take the girls to this event. It looks like a lot of fun: From noon-5:00 p.m. on March 13 & 14, participating Bass Pro Shops will host a Next Generation Weekend. For the rest of you, you can indulge in a free sweet treat: On Friday, March 12, all Pinkberry locations will give out free mini Mangos with toppings from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Don’t know what to top it with? I saved a copy of this book so that I can read it; it sounds interesting: “What does it mean to be good?…Combining autobiographical reflection and philosophical investigation with sketches of exemplary men and women throughout history, Tuan probes the many faces of goodness—from simple courtesy to heroic acts of altruism—and suggests a common and complex thread which unites them.”
